The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Secretariat is inviting Higher Education Institutions (HEI) and accreditation agencies (AA) from member economies to take part of the online course ‘QA of Online Learning’
The worldwide massification of online programs has speeded up the need to establish quality benchmarks for online programs. The issue is particularly relevant to the APEC goal of driving economic growth through fostering mutual recognition frameworks that facilitate the regional mobility of services.
In this context, it is of paramount importance that HEIs and Quality Accreditation Agencies across the region work on securing the highest levels of quality for their online programs.
The ‘QA of Online Learning’ course complements the APEC QA of Online Learning Toolkit, by providing HEIs and AAs with a practical approach for the development of institutional capacities in QA.
The contents in this course are not designed as a fixed set of QA rules. Participants will be able to apply them to existing QA frameworks or use them to create new ones, depending on the context of each institution.
